Juneteenth is the oldest nationally celebrated commemoration of ending slavery in the United States. Join the City of Perry in recognizing Juneteenth with the City of Perry's FREE 3rd Annual Juneteenth Freedom Day Festival featuring live music, dancing, food trucks, various vendors, and children's activities. The 2023 festival will feature the Black History 101 Mobile Musem from 10 AM - 3 PM. The museum is an award-winning collection of over 10,000 original artifacts of Black memorabilia dating from the trans-Atlantic slave trade era to hip-hop culture.
