Monthly Themes: A Glimpse into Perry's Olden Days
Each month of the year, with help from the Perry Area Historical Society and Museum, we'll highlight different aspects of Perry's history through social media and podcast episodes, focusing on everything from the railroad and inventions to significant local figures.
Pop-Up Parties: We're Coming to Your Neighborhood
Get ready for surprise pop-up parties across Perry's three districts! Featuring an antique fire truck, historical insights, and giveaways, these parties are not to be missed. Watch for dates to be announced in 2024.
Guided Tours: Walk Through History
In the fall, join us for various guided tours – the Evergreen Cemetery tour brings pioneers' stories to life; the Downtown Walking Tour showcases Perry's transformation; and the Christmas Trolley Tours offer a festive journey through downtown history. Watch for registration to begin in October 2024.
The Downtown Scavenger Hunt: A Year-Long Adventure
Embark on a scavenger hunt across Perry! Pick up your free card at the Perry Welcome Center, fill in the blanks by searching around Perry for clues, and return your card to be entered in a drawing to win a Perry Prize Pack! The Georgia National Fair in October will feature a special birthday celebration showcasing Perry's agricultural roots and community spirit.
