Fine Dining, Refreshed.

Downtown Perry has no shortage of great places to eat, but Oliver Perry’s offers something a little different—a more refined dining experience for those who appreciate thoughtful food, a quiet setting, and the kind of service that lets you positively relax and enjoy your evening. If you're planning a date night, meeting friends for cocktails, or simply in the mood for something a bit more elevated, Oliver Perry’s is the place that comes to mind.

Over the past couple of months, Oliver Perry's has quietly evolved under the direction of new Executive Chef Christopher Bassett, who brings with him years of experience from some of Macon's most respected kitchens. He has spent time listening to guests, refining the menu, and shaping a dining experience that feels elevated but not fussy. The result is a polished new menu that blends creativity with popular favorites.

The Classics and the New Crowd-Pleasers

The updated menu keeps the dishes regulars have come to love, including the hand-cut filet, ribeye, crab cake, and honey-roasted carrots, among others.

But if you're ready to try something new, there are some exciting additions:

  • The octopus appetizer—seared and paired with scallion aioli and grit fritters—is already turning heads.

  • The pan-seared duck with blueberry cayenne maple sauce and toasted pistachios is a new standout that has guests raving.

  • The bacon and goat cheese stuffed chicken, New York strip, lamb rack, and a 14-ounce pork chop have all joined the lineup.

  • New sides include roasted mushrooms and the Cast Iron Vidalia Onion Bomb—a whole Vidalia onion, slow-roasted and finished with demi-glace, Gruyère, and crostini. It's served in the skillet and is quickly becoming a guest favorite.

Seafood lovers will appreciate the new weekly fish specials, along with other rotating features like beef tartare or carpaccio. Chef Bassett's scallops are consistently praised, and his risotto specials have become an early favorite—rich, seasonal, and worth asking about every time you visit.

Weekly Pasta Specials and Classic Combos

In the mood for pasta? You'll find a weekly pasta special and a weekly risotto, but you can also order a classic pasta with red or cream sauce any night, paired with your choice of salmon, shrimp, chicken, scallops, or lobster tail. It's flexible and comforting without being ordinary.

End on a High Note

The dessert menu has grown, too. New highlights include:

  • A Salted Caramel Tart with chocolate ganache and vanilla gelato

  • A buttery-rich Croissant Pudding with blueberry compote

  • A generous Affogato served with vanilla gelato, Nutella, walnuts, and espresso—with the option to add a pour of amaretto for a more traditional Italian finish

And for something truly special, don't skip the tiramisu, made in-house using General Manager Kelly Beard's family recipe. Her connection to food runs deep: "I was born in California to an American dad and an Italian mom. I was raised in Italy for 30 years and spent a great deal of time with my maternal grandmother, Nonna Milli—a wonderful cook and a wonderful person. She taught me how to cook and how to be passionate about food, home cooking, and fresh ingredients! When I moved to the USA, I wanted to learn even more about cooking. That's when I met my partner, an incredible chef, and we opened our private chef and catering business. Since then, I've learned a great deal. I started working for Oliver Perry's, where I've been pouring my heart and soul into creating an excellent atmosphere. I'm grateful for Perry's community, and I'm looking forward to meeting and getting to know every single one of you. One of my favorite quotes is, 'If you want to get to know someone, go to their home and eat together. The people that give you their food give you their heart.' And this is my goal for the Perry community!"

Kelly's warmth and personal touch are part of what makes Oliver Perry's feel so welcoming.
