Perry's Petal Party Celebrates 35 Years!
Ready to shake off the winter blues and welcome spring with open arms? Come out for the Perry Dogwood Festival! This event is back for its 35th year, and it's shaping up to be bigger and better than ever. On April 13th and 14th, our historic downtown area will be filled with local arts, crafts, and tasty treats. With over 150 vendors, you'll find something that catches your eye: a handcrafted wreath, funky jewelry, or a cool new outfit.
And the food! From barbecue to ice cream, wings to delicious Mexican cuisine, your bellies will be happy. Crowd favorite Yodees Mobile Fresh homestyle donuts will also be there.
For the little ones, the Kids Zone on the Perry City Hall lawn is the place to be. Your kids will have a blast with gellyball, inflatables, and a toddler play area.
You can even watch the Masters golf tournament at the Dogwood Festival! The outdoor patio area will have TVs streaming the action live, and you can sit back with a drink from the Tipsy Peach or Bodega Brew and enjoy the game.
Something New
The Perry Area Chamber of Commerce will sell dogwood trees this year in popular demand! Take a piece of the festival home with you and enjoy those Dogwood blooms every spring.
The Dogwood Celebration Begins in March
The Miss Dogwood Pageant will crown its queens on March 9th. These beauties will also grace the Dogwood Festival in April. Peggy Whyte will be painting local business windows with Dogwood blossoms on March 7th, and she will be painting car windows on March 16th. This is a fun way to show pride and join the community spirit.
Rotary Fishing Tournament
The Perry Rotary Club will host its 21st Annual Fishing Tournament on April 13th. The tournament is a sanctioned Dogwood Festival event perfect for anglers of all ages and skill levels. Cast your line and enjoy a spring day on the water - you might reel in the big one!
